A quantitative digest of the ESP-Nexus structured study database for Macro-PK & Dice: 12 studies spanning 1955–2023, with every figure traceable to its source. ESP-Nexus reports what the studies found and takes no position on whether the effects are genuine.
The broadest quantitative summary in this collection is the Bösch (2006) meta-analysis of 380 studies, which returned a pooled effect of 0.500035 on a proportion index, a value so close to chance expectation that its practical meaning is contested. Individual studies span 2006 to 2026 and show pronounced disagreement in both magnitude and direction. On the positive side, Holmberg (2026) reported p approximately 1.38 × 10⁻⁵, Lucadou (2019) a z of 13.1, and Alvarez (2012) p = 0.019, while Freedman (2024) found a Cohen's d of 0.38. Countervailing results are equally present: Schwartz (2015) yielded z = -3.54 and Gimeno (2017) z = -1.87, both below chance, and Storm (2025) returned p = 0.834, a clear null. Freedman (2018) produced a near-zero Cohen's d of 0.0228. Laythe (2017) found p values ranging from .005 to .110 across eight tests within a single study, illustrating within-study inconsistency. Three results are explicitly null or below-chance, and no consistent effect size or direction emerges across the literature.

What is unsettled
- Reported directions disagree across studies (some positive, some null or below-chance).
- 1 result(s) report a null or below-chance (negative) effect.
