Compared to sham-procedure control pairs, Reiki pairs displayed significantly increased shared transcerebral coherence within the theta band, particularly within the left temporal lobes. Maximum changes in interbrain coherence strength occurred after approximately three minutes of the procedure and were not evident in sham pairs.4
